Your day-to-day tasks will involve database administration and ensuring the smooth operation and performance of SAP systems. This is an on-site role located in Chennai.
Job Title: SAP BASIS Consultant
Location: Chennai, India (Onsite)
Experience: 5+ years
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain SAP systems including S4 HANA and HANA Database.
- Manage and support SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) deployments.
- Perform regular system maintenance tasks such as backups, restores, and patch updates.
- Monitor SAP systems for performance and security issues, and take corrective actions as necessary.
- Collaborate with functional and technical teams to resolve SAP issues and implement enhancements.
- Conduct regular health checks and performance tuning of SAP systems.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures for SAP systems.
- Provide technical support and guidance to users and other team members.
Key Skills:
- S4 HANA: Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with SAP S4 HANA implementations, upgrades, and migrations.
- HANA Database: Expertise in HANA Database administration, including installation, configuration, and maintenance.
- SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC): Experience with SAC, including integration with other SAP modules and data sources.
- System Monitoring & Performance Tuning: Ability to monitor system performance and implement tuning measures to optimize performance.
- Backup & Recovery: Proficient in planning and executing backup and recovery operations.
- Security Management: Understanding of SAP security concepts and ability to manage user roles and authorizations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- SAP BASIS certification is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Additional Requirements:
- Willingness to work onsite in Chennai.
- Flexibility to work outside standard business hours as needed, including weekends and holidays.
- Strong documentation skills and attention to detail.
