SAP Business Warehouse Consultant

Job Summary: 

The SAP Business Warehouse (BW) Consultant is responsible for the design, implementation, and support of SAP BW solutions, including data modeling, ETL processes, and reporting. The role involves leading project implementations, system configuration, ongoing support, and providing training and documentation. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in SAP BW, strong technical and analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with business users and IT teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Implementation:
  • Lead or participate in SAP BW project implementations.
  • Conduct requirements gathering sessions and workshops with business stakeholders.
  • Design and develop data models, ETL processes, and reporting solutions in SAP BW.
• System Configuration:
  • Configure and customize SAP BW to meet business requirements.
  • Ensure seamless integration with other SAP modules and third-party systems.
• Support and Maintenance:
  • Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for SAP BW-related issues.
  • Perform system enhancements, updates, and performance tuning.
  • Conduct regular system audits and health checks to ensure optimal performance.
• Training and Documentation:
  • Develop and deliver training materials and sessions for end-users and key stakeholders.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, data models, processes, and custom developments.
• Stakeholder Management:
  • Collaborate with business users, IT teams, and external partners to ensure alignment and integration of SAP BW solutions.
  • Provide expert advice and support during project go-lives and post-implementation phases.

Qualifications:

• Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in SAP BW implementation and support.
  • Proven experience in at least 2 full lifecycle SAP BW implementation projects.
• Skills and Competencies:
  • Strong understanding of SAP BW data modeling, ETL processes, and reporting.
  • Proficiency in SAP BW configuration, customization, and integration.
  • Experience with SAP BW on HANA or BW/4HANA is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

• SAP certification in BW.
• Experience with SAP Analytics Cloud and SAP BusinessObjects.
• Familiarity with Agile or other project management methodologies.
