SAP ABAP Consultant

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled SAP ABAP Consultant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, coding, testing, and implementing SAP ABAP programs and enhancements. This role requires a deep understanding of SAP ABAP programming language, the ability to work with various stakeholders, and a strong technical background in SAP modules.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain SAP ABAP programs including reports, interfaces, enhancements, conversions, forms, and workflows.
• Collaborate with business analysts, functional consultants, and stakeholders to gather technical requirements.
• Develop and modify data dictionary objects, module pool programming, and ALV reports.
• Implement user exits, BADI, BAPI, RFC, and enhancements to meet business requirements.
• Perform code reviews and ensure compliance with best practices and coding standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in SAP systems.
• Perform unit testing, support integration testing, and provide support during user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Document technical specifications and maintain up-to-date technical documentation.
• Provide technical support and training to end-users and stakeholders.
• Stay updated with the latest SAP ABAP technologies and advancements.
• Participate in project planning, including timeline and resource estimation.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in SAP ABAP development.
• Strong understanding of SAP ABAP programming language and SAP development tools.
• Proficiency in designing and implementing custom SAP ABAP programs.
• Experience with SAP modules (e.g., SAP SD, MM, FI, HR) and their technical integration.
• Knowledge of SAP enhancement frameworks including user exits, BADI, and enhancement spots.
• Familiarity with SAP Fiori/UI5, OData, and CDS views is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• SAP ABAP certification is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA and understanding of new ABAP syntax and features.
• Knowledge of SAP Workflow, SAPscript, Smart Forms, and Adobe Forms.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
